I went to the San Francisco Food Bank to do some of my community service hours.I packed canned goods, peanut butter, apples, and other fresh produce. I also sorted through Food Bank donation bins. All of the food goes to organizations that provide people with food they can prepare at home. I learned the importance of team work. At the Food Bank, many crates of food are packed everyday, but without team work, none of that would have been possible. Working together to pack the food can lead to millions of people receiving the food they need to live.

I went to Home Sweet Home to do some of my community service hours. I played Bingo with a lady named Visitation. She was very nice to me, but she couldn't hear very well so I pointed to the Bingo numbers that were called. We played sixteen rounds of Bingo and she won three times. I really enjoyed seeing the joy on all of the elderly men and women's faces whenever they won a Bingo. I learned that I can be involved in my community by connecting with those who came before me by spending time with them.

I went to the Harvest Festival to do some of my community service hours. I worked at the candy corn bowling booth. The Harvest Festival was free and anyone could come and play the games and have some food to eat. My favorite part of my experience at the Harvest Festival was seeing the children play the games and how their face lit up with excitement when they won. By volunteering my time on Halloween night, I was able to bring joy to the children who attended the s Festival. I learned that the small acts of kindness you do for others can have a big impact on their lives.

I went to the Excelsior Library to do some of my community service hours. I was a tutor for the Reading Program. I helped students. with their homework and read to the children there. By spending my time at the Excelsior Library, I was able to help student with their academics and encourage the, to read. The students did not have to pay anything for the homework help and I was happy to tutor them. At the library as a tutor, I learned the importance of an education.
